This Amperex 150N Mica End Window Geiger Counter Tube was made for very sensitive radiation survey instruments and met the US Navy specification type BS-1/5979. It was made years ago however it was never used. It was primary designed for use with Beta rays and gamma. It is Neon filled with Halogen quenching. This tube operates on 900V and is 6" long x 0.88" dia. The metal tip of the tube is (+). The plateau is in excess of 180 volts - slope plateau is 10% 100 volts max and dead time 150µ sec approx. New old stock - 100% good! Please do not touch mica window when protective cover is removed as it will damage the tube.
